Transortation Engineering Intern
This position will provide you an opportunity to apply engineering principles to real world problems while working on some of the most interesting transportation projects in Florida.
Requirements:
- Seeking a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Proficient in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the oversight of senior level staff, introduction to capacity analysis of freeways, interchanges, arterials and intersections using Highway Capacity Software / Synchro
- Under the oversight of senior level staff, introduction to engineering design including geometric design of roadways using Microstation
- Use a variety of data sources / standards, Internet, documents, reports and surveys to facilitate transportation development and analysis
- Analyze planning, engineering and safety data and make recommendations
