Teen Programs Internship, Spring 2021

The Teen Programs Intern will work closely with the Teen Programs Senior Coordinator on research and development of Expanding the Walls (ETW), Teen Leadership Council (TLC), Art Looks, and Studio Works. The intern will have the opportunity to become familiar with the exhibitions on view; research artists, performers, authors, and other potential teen program participants; play a lead role in developing and facilitating ETW workshops, lesson plans and public programs for teens; draft social media posts; and perform day-to-day tasks and administrative support. 

The Teen Programs Intern must be available to work a minimum of twelve hours per week, including ETW and TLC sessions. The Teen Program Internship is designed for high school graduates preparing for careers in Art Education, Museum Education, Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, Art History, or related fields and hold a deep interest in programming for teens within cultural spaces/institutions. 

Applicants must provide letter of recommendation and a statement of intent (500 words or fewer) explaining reasons for applying to the program, what you hope to gain from the experience, and how it might enhance your education and career plans.

Internship requires a minimum 12 hours/week, during the work week, and the entire program is remote. The total 14-week internship has a stipend of $2,520.
