2021 Product Intern - Project Management (Chicago)

Joining our Product Internship program means you will:
 
Begin with an introduction to learn about our strategies, products and systems, as well as an overview of our Product Leadership community. Dive head-first and gain hands-on experience creating innovative solutions and learn our products that make a difference for our customers, clients and employees. Obtain valuable knowledge across some of our biggest product areas, learning the ins and outs of Nielsen biggest products in our audience measurement, outcomes, and platform teams. These teams focus on creating innovative data solutions for our top clients. 
 
Collaborate with teams outside of product, including data science, engineering, and commercial leaders - learning how to work in cross functional teams across the organization. You will learn how to define product features and capabilities, and all the components that would fall into a successful product roadmap. 
 
By the end of the program, our interns will have gained experience working at a company confronting head-on the huge opportunities and challenges facing the digital media industry today - learning about key topics driving the media industry, including the demise of 3rd party cookies, targeting, identity, measurement, enrichment, and connected TV activation.

Qualifications:
 
  • We're open to a variety of academic majors including; Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) 
  • Preferred minimum accumulative GPA of 3.0 
  • Strong interest in and/ or experience in project management 
  • Relevant internship experience and/ or leadership in school or community organizations
  • Data savvy and strong attention to detail with the ability to manipulate, interpret and tell a story using disparate data sources
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand technical systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite, expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and escalate when necessary
