Summer Intern, Accounts Payable

About Us

One Medical is a primary care platform challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. But this isn’t your average doctor’s office. We’re on a mission to radically transform healthcare, which means tackling the frustrations of everyone involved — from patients and providers to employers and health networks.

Across the country, our members enjoy seamless access to comprehensive care at more than 90 locations across thirteen cities (and counting!) as well as 24/7 access to virtual care powered by intelligent uses of technology. In addition to a direct-to-consumer membership model, we work with more than 7,000 companies to provide One Medical health benefits to their employees.

On January 31, 2020 we marked a milestone with our public listing on Nasdaq, but our work is far from over. As we continue to grow and broaden our impact, we’re building a diverse, driven and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Analyst! You will be part of a 4 personal team dedicated to supporting the entire organization, working cross-functionally with other departments, processing company invoices, employee expense reports, and company credit card expenses. You will prioritize tasks to ensure service level agreements are met.

The ideal candidate is naturally organized and thinks about your work from a systems perspective, employing an “outside the box” mentality; you enjoy driving process improvement and take pride in finding solutions to day-to-day challenges. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning accounts payable functions and reconciliations.

What you'll likely work on:

  • Process transactions completely and accurately including invoice entry, purchase order matching, employee expense reports, and company credit cards
  • Responsible for vendor inquiries on invoices and payments
  • Ensure compliance with employee expense reimbursements, company credit card management, internal control narratives, and company policies
  • Participate in external audit and provide support as necessary
  • Assist in compiling and analyzing performance metrics as well as the month-end close process
  • Complete monthly reconciliations as needed

What you’ll need:
  • Must have at least two years of university completed
  • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Innate curiosity and the drive to ask questions and find solutions
  • An interest in learning accounting processes and systems

This is a paid hourly internship, 40-hour per week for at least 10 weeks. Our 2022 internship program is currently set up as a virtual internship (subject to change) in which interns can be located in any state that we operate in, however, your core hours will align with the standard business hours for the team you are working with during your internship.

One Medical is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage qualified applicants of every background, ability, and life experience to contact us about appropriate employment opportunities.

Subject to applicable law, proof of COVID 19 vaccination is required for employees and contractors who interact with patients, access a shared office space or engage with other team members, except where a medical or religious accommodation applies.
