Summer Intern, Revenue Accounting

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a revenue accounting Intern! You will be part of a team of talented individuals that are responsible for revenue recognition, technical accounting research and SEC reporting. This is a fast-paced role, with opportunities to learn business processes and systems, interact with cross-functional stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience with review of customer contracts.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented and people-oriented. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career in accounting or auditing.
 
What you'll likely work on:

  • Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and sales commissions in accordance with accounting guidance and company policies
  • Assist with SEC filings including quarterly 10-Q report and the earnings release
  • Assist with and/or lead process improvement and other ad hoc projects
  • Key participant of the month-end close process and analytical review over areas of responsibility
  • Work in a cross-functional manner with Controllership, FP&A, Sales and Sales Operations, Legal and Partnership to ensure the integrity of financial information, resolve accounting issues and provide financial/accounting advice

What you’ll need

  • Must have at least two years of university completed 
  • A good understanding of US GAAP accounting 
  • Growth mindset and desire to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong collaborator
  • Good judgment, problem identification and problem-solving ability 

This is a paid hourly internship, 40-hour per week for at least ten weeks. Our 2022 internship program is currently set up as a virtual internship (subject to change) in which interns can be located in any state that we operate in, however your core hours will align with the standard business hours for the team you are working with during your internship.
