Business Development Intern
Paid Internship working up to 20 hours a week - potential to turn into full-time role in early 2023
Perform as a team member of the New Market and Strategic Initiatives Team, focusing on the shaping of the Federal market for Maximus Federal future growth and success. Management and support of several key initiatives that are identified as key critical enablers for future market shaping and strategic growth.
This position will have a focus on maintaining and growing Maximus Federal’s Partnership database as well as helping Maximus expand our footprint with our Joint Venture partners. Being able to identify and qualify pursuits that fit the team’s scope of capabilities is essential. Additionally, this role includes the responsibility of understanding Maximus target agencies’ top small businesses and their top upcoming opportunities.
Job Duties
•Research and identify prospective teaming partners as well as potential competitors
•Research and forecast pursuit opportunities to assist in the development of Joint Venture and Mentor Protégé partnership pipelines
•Work with internal sales team to ensure partnerships are a strong fit to company purpose and strategy
•Update and maintain partnership database
•Participate in industry networking events and identify companies that align with Maximus strategic goals
•Attend networking events with the focus of growing Maximus’ potential partners database
